Luncheon for Literacy

The Women United Luncheon for Literacy is an annual fundraising event supporting early literacy in Pickens County, South Carolina. Hosted at Tri-County Technical College in Easley, this community luncheon benefits Preschool Pages, a program providing books and literacy resources to toddlers and their caregivers. The event features keynote speaker Dr. C.C. Bates of Clemson University’s Early Literacy Center for South Carolina and raises awareness of the importance of early childhood literacy, community engagement, and educational equity.
Together, let's make a difference in the lives of young children in our community!

Make a Stock Gift

A gift of stock is a simple, tax-smart way to support United Way of Pickens County. By donating appreciated stock, you may receive a charitable deduction for the full value of the stock while avoiding capital gains taxes—allowing your gift to go further. Most stock gifts are made by transferring shares directly from your brokerage account to United Way’s account. If you hold physical stock certificates, they can be mailed to our office. Gifts of more than $200 will receive a receipt.

Pathways at Work
