Matt leads our work in financial security with a vision to create financial independence for people in our community.  He has oversight over our financial security programs, including Free File and Pathways at Work. 

 

In this role, Theresa strengthens Pickens County’s disaster preparedness and long-term recovery efforts. She works closely with emergency services, nonprofits, and faith-based partners to identify gaps, mobilize resources, and coordinate collaborative solutions. Theresa’s leadership ensures a strong and unified response that protects lives, restores stability, and builds resilience across our community.

 

Jennifer works to make sure donors know how impactful their gift truly is through communicating United Way of Pickens County's message to the community. She also facilitates Women United, a group of women dedicated to improving early literacy in Pickens County.

 

Jeremy helps companies achieve their corporate social responsibility goals, and helps employees positively impact the community, through workplace campaign giving and community engagement opportunities.

 

In his role as Chief Financial Officer, Larry oversees several key functions including human resources, finance, and ensuring our compliance with all state, federal and United Way Worldwide standards. He also manages our endowment and donor advised funds.

 

Michelle provides day-to-day management of our free tax program, Free File, including supervising support staff, recruiting and managing volunteers, and working with a coalition of partners and stakeholders in the upstate. 

 

As Senior Vice President of Community Impact, Karen leads the implementation of our community impact plan through our three volunteer impact councils and by facilitating the annual community investment grant process. She also oversees our 2-1-1 helpline and other programs and initiatives.

 

Barbara is as detail oriented as you get, which makes her perfect for her role as Director of Data and Donor Operations. She maintains accurate donor information and is able to answer questions about your donation, tax documentation, and anything else related to data.
